Title: Trust In Family
Characters: Sam, Dean and Bobby
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Spoilers: 3.16 No Rest for the Wicked
Word Count: 100
Disclaimer: Don't own - just playing in sombody else's sandbox.
Summary: Even hell couldn't steal his belief in his family.

A/N: Follow up to Thoughts, Wishes and Understanding which was a requested follow up from [info]virtualpersonal for Balancing Act.  Prompt used was Tightrope from [info]spn_drabble.

Dean knows he spent too long in hell balanced on a tightrope of painful sanity or blissfully unaware madness.

Can see it in Bobby’s pitched face.  In the grey pallor of Sam’s skin.

He also knows he can’t blame either for the condition of the other.  Bobby’s the only one he trusts to take care of Sam and the opposite rings true.

Which is why he doesn’t lash out when he notices the gold cast to his brother’s eyes.

If the man he sees as a father is okay with it, then Dean will find a way to be too.

Love the last line, it sort of clinches the whole thing together. I suppose you'd kill me if I said i'd love to see Dean struggle with trying to be okay with it? LMAO... sorry, I will hush up now and be grateful for the prior follow ups.

I'm glad the last line worked, I did want to write something to try to bring this one full circle to the first drabble but wasn't sure I'd pulled it off.

*Splutter* You want what now? *g* You = evil enabler, me = apparently easily enabled, maybe.

I'm happy you enjoyed both of these and after my brain sloshes out of the NyQuil I've drowned it in maybe I'll have a)more coherency and b)Dean's struggle, we'll have to see. *g* For now I'm going back to my blanket, my orange juice and my coffee.

Sorry you're sick, hope you feel better soon. I'm just getting over a bad cough myself *nods*
